The Devon joins Grandview Yard Grandview, OH

A transformative new development brings 131 units and takes shape by merging contemporary lifestyles with community spirit. The Devon emphasizes walkability and thoughtful design, creating inviting spaces that encourage interaction and engagement from its surrounding neighborhood.

In partnership with long-time client NRI, The Studio brought The Devon to life on the bustling corner of First Avenue and Bobcat Avenue in Grandview. This multi-family complex features 131 thoughtfully designed units and state-of-the-art amenities. Understanding that it would cater to young professionals—many of whom are dog parents—there was a focus on walkability, ample amenity spaces, and the incorporation of green areas. Nestled in a vibrant hub of activity, it was essential that The Devon harmoniously integrate into the established community.

The building’s warm brick exterior blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, mature trees, and the park just across the street. Black shiplap metal accents add depth and character to the façade, while intricate detailing in the pillars and fascia brings subtle richness to the design. Front-facing porches, painted in inviting hues, extend this warmth while providing easy access to the park for residents of these units.

To ensure The Devon was a welcome addition to its surroundings, The Studio carefully conducted a thorough analysis of the site and its context. Drawing inspiration from nearby neighborhoods, communal gathering spaces were thoughtfully incorporated both at the front and back of the building. The front courtyard features landscaping that creates clear sightlines to the park, making it feel like a natural extension of the green space. At the rear, a cozy outdoor dining area is nestled among lush greenery, offering another inviting spot for residents to gather and relax.

By prioritizing connection, warmth, and thoughtful details, The Devon was designed to seamlessly integrate into the Grandview community. From its subtle architectural accents to its vibrant outdoor spaces, this multi-family development fosters a sense of belonging and enhances the neighborhood’s charm.

Created on a bustling corner of Grandview, the design team ensured that it added to the richness of the already established neighborhood.
