Dublin Park Pavilion: Framing the River Dublin, OH

The LEED Certified pavilion facilitates community, inspires reflection and respite, while working with the flow of the landscape. It is an anchor of the community as it is utilized throughout the year with festivals, live music, holiday lights, and a pop-up ice rink. Thoughtfully designed through a biophilic lens, the park lies gracefully along the riverfront, connecting old and new Dublin.

The Studio’s design for the shaded structure at the bridge landing plaza creates an inviting public space that enriches the community experience. Equipped with a fireplace, kitchen, restrooms, and flexible areas for gatherings and cultural events, the pavilion remains open and accessible to all. Seamlessly integrated into its riverside setting through biophilic design principles, it fosters a strong connection to nature while offering comfort and functionality. As a LEED-certified project, it reflects The Studio’s commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship—hallmarks of the thoughtful, high-quality work that defines our practice.

Through intentional design, The Studio incorporated the gentle roll of the hills into their site plan. Working with the natural pattern of the land creates a more biophilic design and enhances the site.

This pavilion is more than a structure, it's the heart of Bridge Park. It provides a respite with the plush green landscape, through the ability to be a part of the community, or to peacefully reside along the river.

Mindfully and respectfully integrated with the river, the structure offers spectacular views. A variety of seating—both beneath the pavilion and throughout the surrounding landscape—creates a pedestrian-friendly hub for gathering and relaxation.
